5th Arctic Leaders Summit (8:00 AM)
The 5th Arctic Leaders Summit will take place in Moscow on 14-15 April 2010.
On behalf of all of the 6 Arctic Council Permanent Participants and supported by the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, RAIPON is inviting parliamentarians and officials of the Arctic states and the Arctic Council as well as representatives of UN agencies, international financial institutions, and educational and scientific institutions to the summit to discuss industrial development in the Arctic under climate change.

Arctic Science Summit Week Greenland - ASSW 2010 (8:00 AM)
The purpose of the summit is to provide opportunities for international coordination, collaboration and cooperation in all areas of Arctic science and to combine science and management meetings. Greenland is the host country to ASSW in April 15 to 18, 2010 in Nuuk. ASSW 2010 is hosted by the Government of Greenland.
The ASSW is a collaborative effort between:
* International Arctic Sciences Committee IASC
* Arctic Ocean Sciences Board AOSB
* European Polar Board EPB
* Pacific Arctic Group PAG
* Forum of Arctic Research Operators FARO
The summit of influential organizations engaged in Arctic and polar research and planning is to provide opportunities for international coordination, collaboration and cooperation in all areas of Arctic science and to combine science and management meetings. The ASSW also offers insight into Arctic research undertaken by the host country. Previous ASSW meetings have been held in Bergen (Norway), Syktyvkar (Russia), Hanover (USA), Potsdam (Germany), Tromso (Norway), Cambridge (UK), Iqaluit (Canada), Groningen (Netherlands), Kiruna (Sweden), Reykjavik (Iceland), and Kunming (China).

An informal conference 'The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue' will be held in Moscow on 22-23 April. The conference will discuss sustainable development of the Arctic Region including natural resources, environment, infrastructure, energy and other political factors.
