The Arctic is increasingly opening up for new and exciting opportunities in the business sector. In order to create an open access to information in this field, the Arctic Portal will provide a venue with valuable information dealing with business in the Arctic. The first phase is to gather around links to the Chambers of Commerce in the eight Arctic states, including the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Adding to that, interesting links to WebPages that promote business in their country are included in the list.
The Northern Forum is also a valuable partner dealing with business in the Arctic. The Forum is not a trade or commercial group. However, the organization helps Northern Forum members to develop trade and business contacts. Working primarily "behind the scenes," the Forum has a proven record of improving relationships among the three sectors (public, private, and non-profit), particularly regarding operations within the Russian Federation.
The Northern Forum
Many of today's commercial success stories in the North are the results of the Northern Forum's pioneering efforts to bring business and governmental leaders together during past years. Thus, through the work of the Northern Forum, different commercial entities with interests in the Northern Regions have established meaningful government contacts at high levels throughout Northern Russia, Northern Europe and North America. These contacts continue to lead to increased international business opportunities. Visit the Northern Forum Website here.
